A gorgeous, beautifully written and heartfelt hidden gem, published recently by Dark Horse in a nice, satisfying and well made hardcover.

"You mustn't be afraid to love, son. A heart that doesn't love is like light that doesn't travel."
"Now that I've found you again, I would so love to make a little bit of space for you in my life. A place filled with seagulls, with a view of the sea."
If this is sounding a bit cliché to you, that's part of the idea. You may be wondering, it's just a generic love story then? The twist being, it's told in reverse. The plot threads, the characters, everything is all weaved backwards through the year, and the solicit says it best.
"This isn’t a tale of missed connections and regret but rather a story celebrating the complexities of family, responsibility, destiny, and how love persists across time with complete disregard for all of that."
It can't be overstated that this book is illustrated gorgeously. It has this whimsical, magical Disney movie feel to it, from the expressions (the facial expressions are fantastic) to the settings to just everything really.
It's such an enchanting and unique comic book reading experience.
